Dr. Cynthia Blodgett-Griffin is an Online Graduate Distance Education Professor and Course Designer who serves as head of Blodgett Learning Systems, a U.S.-based distance education consultancy that specializes in instructional design solutions, and in teaching, design and training services. Dr. Blodgett-Griffin, an expert in adult and distance education, online teaching, and information processing by online learners with mild traumatic brain injury, has spent more than two decades nurturing an abundant skillset that has launched her to the forefront of the education and human sciences sector. At the helm of her consultancy, she teaches cutting-edge workshops and courses that help her students to excel, and supports graduate students in their programs, as she also emphasizes scholarship and program retention.
Dr. Blodgett-Griffin became involved in her profession because she recognized that distance education was a growing field. It allowed her the flexibility she desired while meeting students in many countries. She earned a Master’s Degree in Adult Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and went on to receive a Ph.D. in Education and Human Sciences from the same renowned institute of higher learning. Through the years, Dr. Blodgett-Griffin has come to achieve many of her professional goals, and she has also helped other people to do the same. She feels that she has been able to thrive due to her passion for aiding people in reaching their academic objectives. Dr. Blodgett-Griffin had excellent professors who served as role models and shaped her understanding of how students should be taught, encouraged, and mentored.
